Staff is super friendly, and very welcoming. Thank You to the 2 employees that went above and beyond at the reference desk to help me print my document. I much enjoyed the convo while waiting for my document. Just to note that if you do need to print, and are printing from your device be aware that it can take up to 20 minutes for the job to be complete, but there is plenty of books and good conversation. They charge 15 cents per black and white page. Plenty of family activities going on and I was super excited to see the adult coloring once a month. Proof of residency is required to acquire a library card.

2024-02-07 Update, today discovered 3 children's books in Spanish checked out against my acct that I did NOT check out. Possibly Circulation employee did not end my session with Patron behind me? Circulation staff frequently fail doing their job properly by NOT scanning all items being returned and being checked out. The Branch Manager told me directly that he has been told / forbidden to reprimand his staff for not doing their job correctly. How is it possible to evaluate staff performance on their evaluations if there are no record of needing improvement when needed. Staff get promoted based on showing up for work and/or seniority instead of who is performing their job better. Whatever you do, don't use book / media drops, instead take your items to the circulation desk and check your account on your phone, tablet, or library computer before you leave bldg. If a returned item is not scanned properly, it's your word against the library if they can't locate it and/or taken out of circulation, which you can be required to pay for as a lost or stolen item. If you get an item that was not scanned out, unless you return it, BCL will need to report it as missing - this happens very frequently or ignored by Sr. Staff. These occurances have happened to me at this and other BCL branches, it's pathetic.

The library is very nice and clean. But today there are kids all over the library running and laughing nonstop. I understand they are kids but people come to the library to study. There are rooms available to study but they are occupied. There is someone in one of the rooms who has the door wide open and they are talking so loud and there is a kid going in and out ... There should be more supervision on the parents side and staff.
